Diabetes in the wild, wild men’s room
In all my years of living with diabetes, I’ve never seen any evidence left behind that a person with diabetes was there before me. But on Monday, there was no mistaking the odd shape of the scrap of paper on the restroom floor. It was from an insulin pen needle. So risking the appearance of appearing creepy, I got up close to read the label (NovoPen; not the familiar blue BD pen needle), and took a photo of it. Then I saw the skinny, cylindrical needle-guard in the urinal. I most definitely did not take a picture of that one. Now I’m wondering who is shooting up Novolog on the second floor of the office.
