#DBlogWeek ’14 – Day 7 – Ketchup
I know, I still have to ketchup (catch up) on some posts from days 4 and 5. I’ll get to it … eventually … I think.
But as if writing seven days worth of prompted blog posts (with challenging topics as well, I might add) isn’t tough – how about reading them! It’s darn near impossible.
So, I suspect you’ve not seen everything out there (I know I haven’t). But if you’ve got an appetite for some really good ones, here are a few suggestions to help ketchup on the ones you missed.
Day 1 – Change the World: “Fired Up” by Meri at Our Diabetic Life
Meri touches on the one topic that makes my blood boil more than any other.
Day 2 – Poetry Tuesday: Tim at Bleedingfinger
Pure, raw emotion in this one, with no holds barred.
Day 3 – What brings me Down: “Let it Go” by Melissa at Sweetly Voiced
Wonderful storytelling, including how she coped then and how she copes now.
Day 4 – Mantras and More: Kerri at Six Until Me
After awhile, all of these words-in-photos, viral SomeeCards, etc. meld together as blah blah blah. No clever saying can replace the effectiveness of real people.
Day 5 – Diabetes Life Hacks: “ALL Hacks ALL the Time” by Katy at Bigfoot Child Have Diabetes
Not only for the good ideas, but for the handling of an OhShitWhatDoIDoNow?!? sitiation.
(and, since the original description linked to an old, popular post of mine, I apologize to anyone who signed up to receive email notifications when new comments were left and suddenly were barraged by PingBacks. I eventually figured out how to stop it, but it was too late).
Day 6 – Saturday Snapshots: “My Life (In Pictures) (sorta)” by Sara at The Pump and the Second Hand
The first sentence is what makes this so great: “I usually don’t spend my days taking pictures of my diabetes. I spend my days (some days) taking pictures of my LIFE.” That, and the pictures of the kids.
(Honorable mention for Day 6 goes to Mike for his Day 5 post “Don’t Go Hacky With Diabetes Devices” at The Diabetic’s Corner Booth)

And finally, though it’s not a part of Diabetes Blog week, you MUST readGary Scheiner’s “Top-10 (no, make that 14) DIABETES TRUISMS”

What an exhausting week! I need some coffee with my ketchup.
Today’s topic: As we wrap up another Diabetes Blog Week, let’s share a few of our favorite things from the week. This can be anything from a #DBlogWeek post you loved, a fantastic new-to-you blog you found, a picture someone included in a post that spoke to you, or comment left on your blog that made you smile. Anything you liked is worth sharing!

Yes… totally. Lots of ketchup on the horizon in the coming days, I’m betting.
