Brain freeze! [Updated 6:55pm]

Last week, I brought up my skepticism on the 7-Eleven “Sugar-free” Slurpee.

Given the heat-wave that’s taking residence in the northeast, I decided to cool off and put it to the test.  I grabbed a cup (which appears to be 20 ounces) and bolused for 15 carbs.  (6 carbs for 8 ounces, so 6 times two and a half, carry the one, yup… 15.)

However, today may not have been a good day to do it.  The Glucoaster is boasting some terrifying and bone-chilling drops today.

(For the record, I haven’t had a Slurpee since I was a young, rebellious teenager.  They didn’t even pretend to be Sugar-free back then, but I also was riding my bike 6 1/2 miles to work at the time, so perhaps that offset the carb-surplus).

Today’s insulin: asked for regular, think I got premium

But damn was it good!

(No results yet… but stay tuned!)

Update: Two hours later … it’s gonna be a bumpy ride:

“Oh, good morning Mr. Tyler! Going … down?”
(That song always had a different meaning to me)
